The Friday highlight: Support small businesses and diverse local communities

We know that 2020 has been a stressful year for employers, employees, and job seekers.

So here’s a snapshot of something we’ve found useful or motivating. Whether it’s a tip for how to stay on top of work, or something to take your mind off the news, we hope it’ll be a positive and helpful way to round off your week.

Disability inclusion work is crucial — and it can’t stand on its own. To be effective, any type of inclusion program must proactively embrace and promote differences of all kinds. 

This week, we’re sharing Intentionalist, a small business directory to help you find and support small local businesses and the diverse communities behind them. For example, you can search for Black-owned, LGBTQ-owned, and disability-owned businesses in your area.

Intentionalist says:
