Elizabeth C. Hamblet is the author of From High School to College: Steps to Success for Students With Disabilities. A former high school special education teacher and case manager, she has worked at the college level for more than 15 years, reviewing requests for accommodations and providing one-on-one strategy instruction for students with disabilities.
Hamblet also works as a consultant to educate professionals and families about how to help high-schoolers with disabilities make a smooth transition to postsecondary education. She makes presentations locally and at national conferences about the changes students will find at college and how to best prepare them for success there. She also continues to do what she loves most—working with students—as a part-time learning consultant at Columbia University.
