Jessica Millstone, Ed.M., M.P.S., has nearly 20 years of experience working to improve teaching and learning through the integration of innovative technologies. She is the director of audience and partnership engagement for games-based learning initiatives at BrainPOP. She also works with Common Sense Media, giving talks to help parents better understand and manage their family’s use of social media and technology.
Millstone was the inaugural education fellow on the Games & Learning Publishing Council at the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, a research and innovation lab at Sesame Workshop. Her research, which was supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, focused on the use of digital and video games in the elementary and middle school classroom to promote deeper learning.
Millstone holds master’s degrees from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and Bank Street College of Education, where she served as an adjunct professor of technology and education.
