Television producer and director Stephanie Laing launched her production career in her early twenties, partnering with comedian Tracey Ullman on her popular sketch comedy show Tracey Takes On.... Laing’s next major stop was Eastbound & Down, where she was named executive producer in its fourth season. Veep followed and Laing expanded her repertoire, operating as a director for the series during season 4 and being made an executive producer. With seven Emmy nominations—including one win—under her belt, Laing recently produced and directed her first film short, Trouble & the Shadowy Deathblow, starring Emmy Award–winning actor Tony Hale, which won Best of the Festival at the Toronto International Short Film Fest. She is a contributor to Refinery29.com, The Huffington Post, Yahoo Travel and her own blog, Put Your Pretty On. She is passionate about her philanthropic work, whether it means raising money for ALS patient care, directing PSAs for The Clinton Foundation and Got Your 6, or serving on the board of Library For All. Her next project is serving as executive producer for the new Danny McBride HBO series, Vice Principals. Laing lives in Brooklyn with her three school-age kids, Maclaren, Patterson and Watson. Her son Maclaren battles with dyscalculia.
