But when the pandemic arrived in 2020, she raised her hand to work on her agency’s health care clients — work that included the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. She and her team partnered with trusted community leaders across the U.S. to address misinformation and increase vaccination rates. ## **A change for good** Teresa’s rewarding experience addressing vaccine hesitancy and misinformation led her to look for a way to continue elevating reliable health information — and a new role as director of integrated marketing at Understood.org. The challenge she was taking on was big: Our recent survey found that nearly one in three U.S. adults identify as neurodivergent. But with increased prevalence and awareness, there’s often an increase in misinformation and misunderstanding. Their efforts have established the brand as a trusted resource for parents, teachers, and others. One of the many initiatives Teresa has spearheaded is the organization’s work with the Global Health Council.
