Ginny Osewalt is a dually certified elementary and special education teacher with 14 years of experience in general education, inclusion, resource room and self-contained settings. As a teacher, Osewalt worked extensively with speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists and child study team members. As a member of the Intervention and Referral Services Team, Osewalt worked with parents and staff to help resolve challenges and support student success.
Osewalt began working as an Understood expert prior to leaving the classroom. She now brings her knowledge and professional experiences to the Understood Team as the expert engagement manager. She received her teaching certification through the New Jersey Alternate Route Program and her Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification from Kean University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Thomas Edison State College.
