My son can decode and read fluently at (or above) grade level but struggles with comprehension. He's able to comprehend and follow written directions from a cookbook, for example, but he struggles to summarize and retell the content from even the shortest paragraphs.Does anyone have any ideas for encouraging reading for a kid with these struggles?
