Marion Waldman, MBA

Writer

Marion Waldman, MBA, is a writer, editor, and educational publishing consultant. She founded Teach My Kid to Read, a nonprofit inspired by the journey to obtain services for her daughter, who has a reading difference. Through the organization, Waldman tells stories and creates content to raise awareness about what families experience when a child has a reading issue. Her perspective bridges the point-of-view of a parent and the professional experience of someone who has delivered publishing solutions for educators.

Waldman has worked in product development, marketing, and content acquisitions for many large educational publishers. She has dreamed up and initiated new publishing programs and products, some of which are mainstays in schools today. For the past decade, she was a partner in a small company that provided editorial, writing, and courseware services to educational publishers and related organizations.

Waldman has a BA in English and history from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and an MBA from the University of Maryland, University College.
