Tara Anne Pleat, JD, is a partner at Wilcenski & Pleat, a law firm based in Clifton Park, New York, that specializes in special needs estate planning and trust and estate administration. Pleat is a co-chair of the Special Needs Planning Committee of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Special Needs Alliance, an invitation-only, national network of leading disability attorneys who practice in the areas of Special Needs Trusts and public benefits.
Pleat speaks frequently to state and local bar associations, community organizations, and parent groups about special needs planning and related disability issues. She is an adjunct faculty member at Albany Law School, where she teaches a course on estate and financial planning for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
