Hear from a parent

“When I first heard the term “504 plan,” I thought the plan was optional — the school could decide whether to offer one or not. But what I learned is that “504” refers to an actual law that protects people with disabilities from being discriminated against. This was a huge revelation for me. My child had protected legal rights, and the school was required to help.”
