Arthur Everett, MSEd, is a social studies and special education teacher at a high school in Brooklyn, New York. During his 20-year tenure with the NYC Department of Education, Everett has helped create equitable schools committed to diversity and inclusion, high-quality materials, and rigorous academic instruction.

Everett received a prestigious U.S. Department of Education Classroom Teacher Ambassador Fellowship and was awarded the New York Governor’s Empire State Excellence in Teaching Award. He also became a National Education Association Global Learning Fellow. Everett is a national board member of the teacher advocacy organization, Educators for Excellence, and enjoys working with other educators to develop resources to improve student outcomes.

Everett earned a BA in organizational psychology and American civilization from Brown University and an MSEd in teaching students in urban settings from Long Island University.
