My name is Jo Shaffer. I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and now live in New York City. My childhood was shaped by discomfort and uncertainty. I spent years feeling frightened by my own brain. In college, I was diagnosed with ADHD and came out as non-binary.
These discoveries helped me understand myself and find a community. I want to share my experiences, in the hope of making others’ journeys less painful. I studied film at NYU, and I work in post-production as a VFX artist and editor. I love anything related to telling stories.
