Summer is in full swing! Here at Understood, we’re taking a well-deserved break. The first week of July, our entire organization will be closed for our annual Summer Wellness Week. This will give everyone some much-needed time to rest and recharge.

At Understood, we know that we do our best work when we prioritize wellness for the whole team. To support these values, Understood gives employees a Summer Wellness Week — plus a Winter Wellness Week, a flexible PTO policy, and eight paid holidays.

During Summer Wellness Week, we encourage everyone to disconnect from work. It’s time to focus on activities that bring joy and relaxation. Spend time in nature. Relax with loved ones. Explore a new hobby. Or do nothing at all! Whatever we each choose, we know we’ll come back refreshed and reenergized. And we’ll be ready to make an even greater impact in our work.

A few of our team members let us know what Summer Wellness Week means to them:

“I am using my Summer Wellness Week to recharge and explore my neighborhood. It’s nice to have a scheduled break that I don’t need to submit PTO for!”

—Margie DeSantis, Associate Editor

“I really look forward to our Summer Wellness Week. It’s the perfect time to unplug, relax, and just enjoy life outside of work. Coming back after that break, I always feel super refreshed and ready to dive back into our projects.”

—Paige Townshend, Senior Associate, Email Marketing
