Christina Gutierrez, MSEd, is a seasoned educator with more than 10 years of experience in both general and special education. Gutierrez started as a first-grade special education teacher. She is now the student support and family engagement director for a school in New York City. Before that, she was the dean of academic intervention.
Gutierrez holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and Latin American studies from the University at Albany. She also earned a master of science degree in general and special education from the Bank Street College of Education.
