Jenifer Kasten is a parent and special education consultant in Arizona. Her work includes education, disability, mental health, and criminal justice issues. She recently co-founded the Phoenix affiliate of Parents Education Network, an Understood partner. As part of Decoding Dyslexia Arizona, she led a successful effort to pass the state’s first-ever law to address dyslexia.
Before moving to Arizona, Kasten was an attorney in Washington, DC. She has two children with learning and thinking differences.
