Who said what and when? A school communication log makes it easy to organize — and quickly find — your notes about phone calls, letters, in-person meetings, emails to or from your child’s teachers, and any other communication with the school.
If your child has an IEP, it’s especially important to keep track of all the communication you have with your child’s school or IEP team. Print this chart and put it in the front of the “Communication” section of your IEP binder. Use it to log the details after you have a conversation or when you send or receive a letter or email. Then file the actual letter or email in the back of the “Communication” section of the binder.
