Kate Garcia, MEd, is a passionate educator with a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs in achieving their full potential. With her extensive experience as a special education teacher, Garcia has demonstrated her dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments and providing individualized support to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs.
In her role at Colonial School District, Garcia is responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including goal implementation, progress monitoring, and coordination with various service providers. She has also taken on leadership roles in curriculum development, department management, and professional development training, contributing to the overall improvement of educational outcomes for students.
Garcia holds two master’s degrees in educational leadership and special education, as well as a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is actively engaged in school improvement initiatives and continuously seeks opportunities for professional development to stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching strategies.
