Kelly-Ann Cooney, MEd, MA, is the owner and founder of EdQuity, LLC, a consulting agency that assists districts in providing support for multilingual learners. She also is a co-teaching coach in Martha’s Vineyard Schools.
Cooney is a dynamic, culturally responsive educator who leads with equity at the forefront to improve systems. She uses data and research-based best practices to build teacher capacity while working with administration to transform systems. As an educator overseas and in gateway communities, Cooney combines her passion for teaching and social justice with her dedication to students and teachers.
Cooney has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and French from the University of Rhode Island. She also has a master’s degree in romance languages, literature, and linguistics from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Boston College.
