When you’re trying to get your child the support they need at school, it can feel like the rules are constantly changing. And you’re left on your own, fighting to keep up.

In Zero Reject, award-winning journalist Anya Kamenetz investigates what’s happening in special education right now, what changing federal policies mean for families, and why the reality so often falls short of what students are legally promised. Between episodes — and after the series wraps — The Brief: Understood News keeps you in the know on everything shaping your family’s world, from shifts in education policy to new research on how kids learn.
