Shalini Suresh, MPH, an epidemiologist by training, has been leading research and programs with nonprofits, academic institutions, and international organizations over the past 12 years. She has expertise in research design, analysis, and evaluation across areas of children’s health, women’s health, economic equity, and sustainability. She holds a master of public health degree from Columbia University and is pursuing a doctorate in public health at New York University.
Suresh has dedicated her career to applying data and evidence-based solutions to drive advancements in global health. She has contributed to more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and was selected as a 30 under 30 Cochrane researcher in 2019.
At Understood, she designs and leads quantitative research to generate insights and learnings that inform the organization’s strategy and build knowledge around learning and thinking differences.
