Donna Volpitta, EdD

Founder, Center for Resilient Leadership

Donna Volpitta, EdD, is the founder of the Center for Resilient Leadership, which seeks to transform the way leaders and individuals approach everyday challenges to build resilience in themselves and their teams. Her Mindful Leadership Model has been applied to areas of leadership from parenting to corporate management.

Volpitta is co-author of the book The Resilience Formula: A Guide to Proactive, Not Reactive, Parenting and co-creator of the Nametags Education Program. She is on the board of directors for One Revolution Foundation and Kids Helping Kids, both of which develop resilience in youth.

She is a former classroom teacher with experience in both general and special education. She has also served in the department of curriculum and teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University, as an instructor for courses related to learning disabilities. She spent several years working as a special education parent advocate. Volpitta holds a doctoral degree in learning dis/abilities from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MEd in special education from Boston University.
