When women’s wellness fails: Real-world levers for change
Most women’s well-being portfolios assume that typically recommended healthy behaviors (exercise, nutrition, sleep hygiene, meditation) will work roughly the same for all women. Our research helps explain why that’s not true.
Generic lifestyle strategies are not protective for all women. In fact, when “wellness” tips fail, many women internalize negative self-narratives. And that can lead to worse mental health outcomes. BIPOC women are especially sidelined by a “one size fits all” approach. This can widen the very gaps we want to close.
Join our experts on Zoom to learn more about measurable predictors of poor mental health among women, and protective supports that standard programs routinely overlook.
